Refund policy

To qualify for a return, items must be unworn, unused, and in their original condition — tags attached and original packaging intact. Please keep your receipt or proof of purchase, as we'll need this to process your return.

How to start a return:

We have a 30-day return policy, which means you have 30 days from the date you receive your item to request a return.

  1. Contact us at info@ellasboutiqueboston.com or through our contact form to request our return form.
  2. Complete the form and send it back to us for review.
  3. Once our team approves your return request, we will provide you with the return instructions and the correct return address.

Note: Items sent back to us without prior approval and a completed return form will not be accepted.

  • Restocking Fee: $0 – We do not charge any restocking fees for returns.
  • Shipping costs: The return shipment is the buyer's responsibility.

Damages and issues

Please inspect your order upon reception and contact us immediately if the item is defective, damaged or if you receive the wrong item, so that we can evaluate the issue and make it right.

Exchanges

The fastest way to ensure you get what you want is to return the item you have, and once the return is accepted, make a separate purchase for the new item.

Cancellations

Because we use an automated processing system to ensure faster processing, orders can only be cancelled within 1 hour of placement. After this timeframe, your order is already being processed and cannot be stopped. If you are unable to cancel within this window, you can always return the product to us by following the return procedure mentioned above once the package has arrived.

Exceptions / non-returnable items

Certain types of items cannot be returned, such as:

  • Swimwear & Undergarments: Due to hygiene reasons, these items are final sale and cannot be returned.
  • Perishable goods (such as food, flowers, or plants).
  • Custom products (such as special orders or personalized items).
  • Personal care goods (such as beauty products).
  • Hazardous materials: We do not accept returns for flammable liquids or gases.

Unfortunately, we cannot accept returns on sale items or gift cards.

Refunds

We will notify you once we’ve received and inspected your return and let you know whether the refund has been approved. If approved, you’ll be automatically refunded on your original payment method within 10 business days. Please remember it can take some time for your bank or credit card company to process and post the refund, too.
